WHO will take over the pricey pricey pricey former Bastide space which survived many iterations, but at the end of the day, just couldn't make it? Bastide owner Joe Pytka tried once (2002-2006), tried twice (2007-2008), and unfortunately his third time (2009-2011) was not a charm. Baside Bistro shuttered last May and since then many have wondered who will have pockets deep enough to afford the small garden space tucked off Melrose Place in West Hollywood. The answer, according to this ABC file, Tatiana Brunetti, co-owner of NYC's Mari Vanna. And yes, she plans to bring the Russian chotchke-filled restaurant to Los Angeles just about two and a half years since its Flatiron District debut. Here's a look at the NY menu, all the classics are in place from blinis and caviar to borscht.
