After a lengthy 11 year stay on S. Beverly Drive, Japanese-inflected Asian fusion eatery, Mako, will serve its last meal on February 26. The restaurant's lease is up and owners have decided to shuttle the venue west to Santa Monica, though no specifics just yet on the new location or reopening date. In the meantime, beginning in March, Mako plus partner Lisa Brady can be found at their other West LA restaurant, Robata-ya, where Mako will take to the kitchen "creating a menu of Mako originals as well as introducing some new Asian specialties." Stay tuned for additional details on the Santa Monica space. [EaterWire]
