Earlier this week Food & Wine revealed the name and concept of Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo's forthcoming seafood spot on 3rd Street, Son of a Gun. Now, Kate Krader catches up with the duo one more time for a round of follow up questions. As for the menu, here's some potential dishes: "Sardines a la plancha with oyster plant, citron, sorrel; Geoduck, cilantro salsa verde, mandarin; Uni, carrot, nettle curry vinaigrette, apple; Fried chicken inspired by Chick-fil-A and Bakesale Betty." Certainly quite an interesting menu. As for the restaurant's name and seating situation, the term "son of a gun" is debatable, possibly referring to a place on boats where trysts occurred, meanwhile the eatery will accommodate both reservations and walk-ins.
