Portuguese-Influenced Australian Chicken Burger Chain, Oporto, Comes to SoCal

New, 7 comments

Australia's fast casual chicken burger chain Oporto skips seas and lands in Rancho Cucamonga for its first US restaurant opening February 25. Two more locations are planned for the future, one in Ontario and one in Glendora. According to the press release, Oporto is famous for its "Bondi Burger that features two fresh-grilled chicken breast fillets, lettuce, cheese and mayo served with [the restaurant's] signature Hot Chilli sauce...Oporto is [also] famous for signature, proprietary sauces including Lemon & Herb, Feisty bbq, Prego or Chilli sauce that is a flavorful and spicy Aussie style piri-piri sauce." Guests can expect a beach theme specifically modeled after Bondi Beach where the chain's first outpost opened in 1986. Since then Oporto has opened over 130 outlets through Australia, not bad. Check out the menu which also includes salads, chips (fries), wraps, and brekkie (aka breakfast). The Rancho Cucamonga restaurant will be open daily from 7AM – 11PM. [EaterWire]
