Tucked into a tiny space within Sunset Junction, husband and wife team Lena and Hardeep Manak plus partner Haike Buentemeyer launch Berlin Currywurst, a new lunch and dinner space offering Germany's most popular street food, currywurst. Inside are a few wooden-topped tables, an exposed brick counter, and a still empty patio for future outdoor dining. While downtown's Wurstkuche could have provided some inspiration for this eatery, unfortunately no booze is on offer here, just organic chocolate milk, water, and some "natural" sodas (Izzy and such) served alongside sausages and fries. Berlin Currywurst opens today, serving Tue-Sun, 11:30AM-10PM.
