WEHO— The sun shines again. Perfectly on time and just as expected, Il Sole reopens tonight after its two and a half month revamp. Check out the space -- co-designed by partners Arnold Stiefel, Andy Hewitt, and new addition Brent Bolthouse -- which feels like a shiny, more spacious, glorified version of its former self. Chef Issac Rivera has slightly updated his Southern Italian menu, returning favorites include eggplant parmigiana “Napoli style” with tomato sauce, basil and mozzarella; and clams sautéed with white wine, garlic, and olive oil. Menu: Page 1, Page 2. [EaterWire]
AROUND TOWN— Crust Bakery recently held a pop-up pie shop at The Golden State, and owner Stephanie Jayne Shaiken plans to hold her next temporary pie engagement in March. She hopes to eventually use her pop-up funds for a storefront. [The Feast]
AROUND TOWN— This is definitely breaking news: smoking pot gives you the munchies. No, really. It's now been proven. [DD]
