WOW that was quick! Just look at this pretty little thing. In about three weeks Wood & Vine morphed from raw plywood to a fully complete venue, ready for its soft launch tonight. The venue encompasses two levels, on the ground floor sits the long handsome wood bar plus a few lounge tables, climb up the stairs for mezzanine dining and comfy leather club chairs for additional lounging. Out back Wood & Vine boasts a large secluded patio, right now those heat lamps (and fire pit!) provide needed warmth, but come summer tables will be in high demand. Aside from the venue's thoughtful antique weathered aesthetic (it's like Gjelina meets Eveleigh), food and drink reign equally important.
Chef Gavin Mills (Bastide) serves seasonal small plates, here's a looksee at tonight's menu, just 12 dishes on offer in addition to house-made charcuterie, cheese, and "snacks" (duck fat fried, truffle potato chips). Swallow that down with a classic cocktail ($12 a pop), there's a focus on small-batch whiskey, but a few craft beers and local wines grace the list as well. Don't miss all 17 photos above.
