Up above, Oakfire Pizza's new Sherman Oaks home, all shiny, new, and ready to serve. Proprietor Greg Morris (The Oaks Gourmet, The Belmont), who has been shuffling about town lately, decided to expand his casual West Hollywood pizzeria and pub known for its mid-day happy hour, so now Valley residents can take in the game on their side of the hill and not worry as much about drinking and driving. Anyone that has frequented the original location will note the similarities in appearance between the two restaurants, an overall simple pub design, mostly comprised of dark polished wood and stone, but the Sherman Oaks space feels a touch more modern with its hanging pendant lights, glistening tables, and colorful stone bar backsplash. After minor delays, Oakfire Pizza is expected to open any day now.
