Successive setbacks over at Axe, the local Venice neighborhood health-centric haunt which endured a fire last August. Last Eater heard, the venue was slated to reopen on January 15, however owner Joanna Moore still planned the sell the restaurant post reopening. Axe's exterior remains mostly the same, from the outside doesn't look like much has been going on, but according to the construction crew on site, plumbing goes in next week, followed by drywall a few weeks later. As it now stands, Axe will reopen as Axe in about two more months. Sadly sadly, though, looks like it's still on the market per this LoopNet posting that was updated just a week ago.
