1) Downtown: According to blogdowntown, after 20 years of flipping burgers in the downtown area, Carl's Jr on the corner of 6th and Hope shut it's doors last Friday to make way for Industriel, a new restaurant from the team behind Green Street Tavern. Partners Armen Hakobayan and Ari Babaei hired interior design firm Flo Design Studio, and per the company's Facebook page, construction crew broke ground on February 1. The restaurant will be modeled after a country farmhouse and serve Provincial French comfort fare. All parties hope to open this spring.
