DOWTOWN Several more drinking/dining concepts headed downtown. First up comes a new Asian fusion eatery called Eco-Asian slated to open within the next few weeks. Then, just a stones throw away, there's Salvage Lounge taking over the eastern sect of the historical Roosevelt Lofts. Proprietor/designer Solomon Mansoor explains that the venue was built entirely out of salvaged materials recovered from construction of the Roosevelt Lofts. Here's how he describes the venue: "Imagine wandering into an eighteenth-century French chateau after the second World War, beautiful but damaged, deserted after the Nazi occupation – a vision of exposed, ripped-up walls, high ceilings, stained glass, dark woods and antique mirrors."
