TourEiffel Set To Close At The End Of The Month

It's an open and closed case for TourEiffel, a four month old French eatery in Old Town Calabasas. French owner Evelyne Fountaine told Calabasas Patch that increased rent, the location, and perhaps a negative American cultural attitude towards French cuisine are the reasons for her shutter later this month. Having spent half a million on the place, she couldn't make the $20,000 a month rent and negotiating with her landlord didn't work. So, this just goes to show that the woes of the economy are still affecting the hospitality industry.
