'Tis the season for pop-ups. Break out your cell phone because Animal (323-782-9225) is gearing up for still one more. Last week came word of that Cafe Boulud dinner which sold out in minutes, so due to popular demand Animal owners Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo decided to offer an extra eve of dining. Next up, or, actually, right before those two dinners, on April 17 Mr. Jonathan Waxman (Barbuto- NYC), who is supposedly opening his own west coast eatery, lands at Animal to host his own night of dining. Jon and Vinny will cook a multi-course meal (courses still tbd) from Jonathan's new cookbook Italian, My Way, served alongside vino selected by Sandy Garber of Topanga Vineyards. Dinner runs from 5-10PM, $90 a head for food, wine, and a cookbook. [EaterWire]
