Hard to believe, but after 11 years of meticulous sushi preparations and then some, Morihiro Onodera, aka Mori, has sold his namesake Japanese eatery on Pico as of March 22. Taking a brief look back into the restaurant's past, in 2001, shortly after Mori Sushi's opening in 2000, SIV appointed 2.5 to the tiny restaurant, then in 2004 she upped her stars to a full three. Also, when Los Angeles was still part of the Michelin guide in 2008, Mori received a one star selection. Mori has remained consistent for its 11 year life, it maintains a solid four star Yelp rating, which its new owners, Masanori Nagano and Miyuki Hayashi, will hopefully retain. [EaterWire]
