Man oh man, even more New Yorkers picking the west coast. Word just in that Alex and Steven Hakim, proprietors of The Malibu Inn, have decided to renovate the historic property. The restaurant, which originally opened in 1920, has undergone several iterations, most recently living as the Crazy Horse Saloon until its shutter in 2008. The Hakims are moving quickly and plan to open in “weeks” with a new vintage rock and roll design (up above) conceived by creative Andrew Alford. AND with this new look comes a new menu. Top Chef alum Angelo Sosa has accepted the position as consulting chef and is working on the Inn's new roster of eats. Check out The Malibu Inn's Facebook page, there's a video of Sosa's first day (Monday) in the kitchen. The motto: "Vintage Mood, Epic Food!" [EaterWire] — David Morris
