Cy Waits Helming Beyond Wonderland AKA "The Next Generation of Nightclubs" in San Bernadino

New, 8 comments

Until now, we haven’t heard much from former Wynn Las Vegas nightlife czar Cy Waits since his separation from XS and Tryst nightclubs last August. Waits has recently assumed the role of chief operating officer for Insomniac Events, who put on the Electronic Daisy Carnival (EDC), Beyond Wonderland, and other pop-up music festivals/parties attended by upwards of 160,000 people. Waits first major event falls to Beyond Wonderland on March 19 at the NOS Event Center in San Bernadino. Waits said “that after creating XS which drew a crowd of 10,000 people on its opening night and remains the one most profitable and popular venues in the world I was not sure how I could really top that? Insomniac is really the next generation of nightclubs where we bring in the world’s best DJ’s and have these full on parties for 50,000 to 150,000 people.”

Beyond Wonderland is set to host five themed areas and will play host to 60+ DJs such as Kaskade and Manufactured Superstars. Tickets cost $75 for general admission and $150 for VIP including hosted bars. This summer Waits said that he will bring the multiday pop-up club from LA to Vegas. — David Morris
