Andre Guerrero (The Oinkster) drops Eater a line to announcing his latest project, an Italian restaurant called Maximiliano, named after his son Max, which he hopes to open in about three to four months. The eatery claims the now shuttered La Casa Blue/Juanita's space on York Blvd in Highland Park and will be run by Guerrero, his two sons Max and Fred, with pastry duties carried out by Jan Purdy who Guerrero had hired to craft sweets at his bakery which never got off the ground, Butter Tart. LAW says the restaurant will serve "handmade pastas, gnocchi, pizza, cannoli, and spumoni made with a PacoJet and served in paper cups." Anyway, Guerrero just signed the property lease so work should begin shortly over there. On another note, Oinkster fans can get excited about a second restaurant downtown plus possibly a third coming to LAX, and one more new project Guerrero has yet to announce. [EaterWire]
