Artisanal LA 2011 Featured Demos, Tastings & Drinks

.<br />

We're not actually hung-over, because we weren't at Coachella this weekend. We were at Artisanal LA, where we played nice with fellow foodies and friends. The ode to locally produced goods popped-up in a space adjacent to the forthcoming Market at Santa Monica Place on Saturday and Sunday. This year, about 100 vendors came to sell their hand-crafted wares on the Westside. Veev served cocktails that were cleverly shaken in jars. There was plenty of pie, jam, cookies, chocolate and olive oil. Big names like Laura Avery (Santa Monica Farmer's Market), Matt Biancaniello (Library Bar), and folks from Intelligentsia Coffee and Eagle Rock Brewery took the stage to talk and teach. All in all it seemed that the hundreds in attendance had a great time. [EaterWire]
