It's high time we fed you a Report of Ply. Sorry for the delay, we've been a bit overwhelmed with all the Burger Week planning, but without further ado, stones and splinters spotted across town. And if you catch something we've missed, please do let us know. Merci.

1) Mid-City: Kado, that shuttered sushi restaurant inside the Farmers Market, scores new life as Planet Dailies. Sort of a random move, but this venue comes from those behind Planet Hollywood and, from this description, appears to be a super mod Jetson-esque coffee shop. But wait, the venue is searching for a GM, and in the job rundown claims that Planet Dailies "is a high-volume, full service restaurant and bar, offering extensive menus of freshly prepared food and beverages. The food portion of our business has become a huge success at the Planet Hollywood Hotel in Las Vegas and we’re preparing for an opening in Los Angeles, where we are also developing two stand-alone bars. We need a top-notch General Manager to open and direct the daily operations for the restaurant." [EaterWire]

2) Pasadena: Pita Jungle has still yet to debut in Old Town. Pasadena Scoop says the eatery should launch “in two to three weeks." [Pasadena Scoop]

3) Sierra Madre: Signage is now up for Taco Fiesta, a new Mexican cafe soft opening next week in the business district. A grand debut will follow in May. [SMP]

4) Glendale: Feast spots signage for Pacific Cheesecake Company at 410 South Brand Blvd. Expect both sweet and savory cakes. [The Feast]

5) Mid-City: Good news. Marcona partner Collier Ulrich provides an update on his Melrose Ave sandwich shop. Permits are in place and construction begins on Monday. Should be about a 10-12 week build-out, if things move at the predicted pace, which they never do. [EaterWire]

6) Rancho Cucamonga: Grub Street reports that Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill (yeah, that's the whole name) expands to SoCal, specifically Victoria's Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga. Here are some sample menus... and...yeah...exciting. [Grub Street]

7) Mar Vista: Vinny's Pizza will replace the defunct Fioretto on Culver. An opening is still a ways off. [Grub Street]

8) K-Town: More coffee coming to K-Town. Eton Tsuno, formerly of LA Mill and a U.S. Barista Championship finalist, plans to open IOTA Coffee on Western between 5th and 6th this year. Here's a "coming soon" website and Facebook page. [Grub Street]

9) K-Town: More BBQ for LA. Smoke Star BBQ is also "coming soon," according to Facebook, to a strip mall at the northeast corner of Pico Boulevard and Western Avenue. [The Feast]

10) Manhattan Beach: Neal Fraser (BLD, Grace) will tame the flames at an under construction two-story "New American cuisine" restaurant in the former Beaches space on Manhattan Beach Blvd. Grub Street shares some renderings which depict a oyster bar and an open kitchen. Slated to open this summer. [Grub Street]
