As part of Eater's first ever burger week, chefs at six LA restaurants that don't serve burgers agreed to make a special limited edition burger, served just this week and next. Today we highlight our final two burgers, here now the Alta Cali Burger from Typhoon and Pan Am Room at the Santa Monica Airport.
And now our 6th and final Eater Burger created by executive chef Norman Fierros of Pan Am Room in the Santa Monica Airport. Fierros was inspired by the South American and Mexican ingredients he works with daily at the restaurant and combined them to create this situation. Laid out on a house-made Pan Am bun, made firmly to hold up the meat, the grass-fed patty is glazed in a red enchilada barbecue sauce and topped with chile guerito mayo (which also mixes in Oaxacan cheese), Anaheim chile, tomato, and avocado. The Alta Cali Burger costs $10 and comes with a side of sweet potato chips. Wanna try? Take a bite through May 8 at both Typhoon and Pan Am Room.
