There's a whole lot of design going on inside the retooled Malibu Inn thanks to visionary Andrew Alford. Entering The Inn almost feels like stepping into a scene from Boogie Nights or Dazed and Confused, check out the original architecture dating back to 1920, the vintage mod furniture, original murals (some pornographic) which were uncovered during the revamp, and Americana kitsch. Old Playboy covers cover the ceiling of the pool table room, pictures of semi-nude men plaster the walls in the ladies room, and if you look closely at the mural of the Malibu pier there's even more nudity going on. Oh, and that chandelier with the keys? Those are keys lost over the years from The Inn.
To match the vintage American feel of the space, Top Chefestant Angelo Sosa has created a traditional American menu. Note: this kit and kaboodle opens April 13 for dinner.
