Jerry Baker, chef and owner of Tinga on La Brea, told us last fall that the tiny narrow venue next door to Tinga had been snapped up to become another restaurant. The Feast reports that George Abou-Daoud (District, Mercantile) controls this space, nonetheless Baker is "looking into" expanding to that nook. Baker and his wife Chris are also considering eateries in Santa Monica or Malibu, and plan to launch a food truck to boost their catering biz. [The Feast]
