'Silverlake' Juice and Kombucha Bar Opens Thursday

Finally, some more concrete information on that curious new 'Silverlake' juice and tea shop spotted last week. First off, this is the venue that almost opened as Veda Zen, and judging from those original backyard photos, the haphazardly spaced furniture setup hasn't changed much. Anyway, Baba Ji, chef/owner of Cowboys & Turbans and nearby Silver Lake Natural Food Market, now controls the venue which opens on Thursday. He plans to sell juices, teas, and tonics at the above pictured outdoor kombucha bar. As a grand opening special, on Thursday, guests can scoop up $1 fresh young coconuts.
