Well, The Standard hotel in NYC has a biergarten and per this Craigslist post, it appears as though The Standard Downtown is adding one as well. The title of the listing reads "Bier Garten Server (The Standard, Downtown LA)," followed by a description of vocational duties:
"Summary of Duties: Primarily responsible for quick, courteous, and efficient serving of alcoholic beverages to guests and patrons: providing superior customer service: maintaining the Bier Garten ’s appearance: and adhering to hotel policies and city/state laws regarding the service of alcohol... Job Responsibilities: Responsible for properly pouring beer, ensuring accurate accounting for tickets taken within the shift. Must also maintain the Bier Garten area as well as the bar area. Ensures consistency in service, pouring and presentation."Meanwhile, PR for The Standard has no comment on the biergarten addition at this time. And, this news comes on the heels of an German beer bar onslaught. Just yesterday came word of another German restuarant and bar, Wirtshaus, which is taking over the shuttered Sante La Brea space.
