DOWNTOWN— On a scale of 1-10, this is, like, a 75 in randomness. Chef Laurent Quenioux of shuttered Bistro LQ will, as previously mentioned, partake in a pop-up at one of the most unlikely of places: Starry Kitchen. LQ @ SK begins the first week of June, Sunday to Tuesday for dinner service every other week, lasting somewhere from three to six months. Quenioux will prepare five-course prix fixe menu for $45. BEVERLY HILLS— Nice! Grub Street snags a rendering of Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air, that restaurant revealed just a few weeks ago. Yes, it's just a rendering but it does look pretty real (my oh my, modern technology these days), designed by The Rockwell Group (Nobu). [Grub Street]
CULVER CITY— As a follow up to Fraiche's first Rustic Monday dinner series, executive chef Ben Bailly invited Jason Fullilove of The Curious Palate over for round two on June 20. Remember, each chef prepares three courses for $35, this time around Ben plans to serve Asparagus Blanc Manger, Daube Provencale (beef stew), and Profitertoles vs. Jason's Cured Mackerel, A Modern "Rustic" Fish Stew, and Raspberry Plum Melba.
