STUDIO CITY— After over 50 years at the corner of Woodbridge Street and Tujunga Boulevard, family-style Italian eatery Vitello's has added a new chef to its team and plans an interior refresh. Sardinian chef Tonino Cardia came on board two weeks ago and plans to add healthier menu choices but hold on to a few red-sauce staples. Vitello's will remain open during the redesign which should be finished by October. [SCP]

OUT TO SEA— This is kinda cool. For $100 Angelenos are invited to fish with LA's top chefs on June 5: Michael Cimarusti (Providence), Alain Giraud (Maison Giraud), Andrea Cavaliere (Cecconi’s), Brian Moyers (BLT), and Dave Dahni (Grilled Cheese Truck) are all participating. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the relief efforts for Japan. [Ladles and JellySpoons]

MARINA DEL REY— This summer Wahoo's Fish Taco opens a new cafe just south of Peet's on the east side of Lincoln near Mindanao Way. [EaterWire]

SIERRA MADRE— Wisteria Restaurant will replace the former Restaurant Lozano on North Baldwin Ave. Construction is underway. [EaterWire]

SHERMAN OAKS— L.A. Creamery opened its third gourmet ice cream shop this past Saturday in the Westfield Fashion Square Shopping Center. Ice creams are made from Straus Family Creamery's organic dairy, and for Father's Day all L.A. Creamery outlets will offer two limited edition flavors: Jack Daniel's and New Castle. [EaterWire]
