From the owners of Rocco's Pizza (Mid-City) and Rocco's Tavern (Studio City) comes... another Rocco's Tavern taking over the shuttered Tokyo 7-7 and La Ballona spaces on Main Street in Culver City. In a gentrified area of Los Angeles cluttered with many higher end restaurants, Rocco's strives to replicate its Studio City model and bring an Italian family-style neighborhood tavern into the mix.
Patrons can expect a full restaurant and bar with about ten 50-inch flat screen TVs, comfy booths, and basic Italian fare (same menu as in Studio City). There will be an open-air feel with indoor-outdoor seating thanks to an 18-foot garage door serving as the Main St. "wall" and a big 15-foot window along the pedestrian alley near the front. Presumably, the garage door will open for easy flow between the patio and interior. For now though, as visible above, Rocco's front is entirely boarded up in preparation for the Monday arrival of the garage door.
