EL SEGUNDO— Grub Street notices that The Soup Bar, yet another soup-centric lunch spot, is about to open in Grand Park Plaza, probably next Monday or Tuesday. [Grub Street]
NOHO— Last week The Valley landed a new soul food meets hot dog concept called Otis Jackson’s Soul Dog. The casual eatery touts natural hot dogs devoid of preservatives, antibiotics, and nitrates in addition to sausages, free-range fried chicken, plus several sides. [The Feast]
WEHO— PR hit us up with a few additional tidbits on that soon-to-open oddball mini pastry place, früute: "...our pastries will be made fresh daily on site using all natural ingredients. Offerings will be an array of one type of pastry (no, not cupcakes). We plan to highlight the natural flavor and beauty of fruit while incorporating delicious, complimentary ingredients, some are even rather unexpected. We’re really striving to pique curiosities."
