Like a handful of other food trucks (Komodo, Flying Pig), Coolhaus, too, is going brick and mortar. Come July, fans of Natasha Case and Freya Estreller's architectually-themed ice cream sandwiches will have the option to cool down via new seasonal creations plus tried and true favorite flavors like nutella toasted almond, brown butter with candied bacon, and dirty mint chip from one set location. Along with the frozen cream, The Coolhaus Ice Cream Sandwiches Shop plans to offer freshly brewed Blue Bottle drip coffee, chicory iced coffee, soda floats and ice cream cookie cakes.
As for design (after all these are designer ice cream treats), the store was developed by Coolhaus in conjunction with Studio Foster and will feature an "interactive wall" by Ferro Fabric which incorporates "a magnetic installation of iconic architecture around LA" plus a graphic installation by Design Bitches. Around the shop one will also notice original truck parts integrated into the space.
