Does this interior feel at all familiar? Perhaps it looks a little bit like this? Gulla Jonsdottir of G+ Design, who worked on Red O, is now dressing another Mexican concept, Palmilla Cocina y Tequila in Hermosa Beach. Helmed by Greg and Ron Newman, commanders of continually expanding Baja Sharkeez, the duo raise the bar with this more upscale venue slated to serve home-style Mexican. Check out the restaurant's Facebook page for a menu preview involving the likes of Fajitas de Camarones, Lobster Enchiladas, and Nachos Mariscos. Clearly a seafood-heavy situation.

Although it's not visible above, Palmilla will offer both indoor and outdoor dining for 106 total, and owners expect to open end of June/early July. [EaterWire]
