Bon Appetit Kicks Off Its 5th Annual Vegas Uncork'd Weekend

Yesterday afternoon, in the hot 93°F Vegas heat, Bon Appetit kicked off its fifth annual culinary extravaganza, Vegas Uncork'd, in front of the Fountains of Bellagio at the Bellagio hotel. This year's Champagne saber was performed by Spanish chef Julian Serrano (last year Alain Ducasse did the honors), in attendance was BA's new E-I-C Adam Rapoport plus 50 or so participating chefs inclusive of Tom Colicchio, Joel Robuchon, Guy Savoy, Charlie Palmer, David Walzog, Pierre Gagnaire, Jose Andres, and Scott Conant. Last night Eater attended one of the Masters' Series dinners titled " Big Night with the Pellegrino Family at Rao’s" (no discernible mobsters in attendance), followed by a super tame after hours party hosted by Tom Colicchio at Craftsteak. Dueling pianos, watermelon margaritas, and an appearance by Mary Sue Milliken (Border Grill) capped off the night. [~ELA~]
