3Twenty Wine Lounge was a two year work in progress due in part to ABC license issues. Apparently, the space once served as a karaoke bar and owners back then abused their right to serve liquor, but that's neither here nor there. Because tomorrow 3Twenty starts friends and family, and on Monday the restaurant and wine bar opens to the public. Originally, owner Edgar Poureshagh, a certified sommelier, planned to offer wine, no food, but that changed and he hired chef Michelle Sallah (Spotted Pig- NYC) to work out his small plates menu. Think French-Mediterranean with a Cali twist, bites and nibbles like gnocchi with bacon and snap peas, braised lamb over polenta, and crispy chickpeas with rosemary. As evident above, wine is served via those enomatic systems, but instead of buying a card up front with a certain dollar amount, patrons can start a tab and just pay for what they drink later. Nice choice. Also, right off the bat Poureshagh will roll out both dinner and lunch service, menus listed above.
