Owner Joanna Moore Says Yes, Axe WILL Reopen as Axe

Over the past few months there has been speculation as to whether Axe, which suffered a devastating blaze almost a year ago, would reopen as itself. Earlier this year the property was up for sale, but according to crew on site, the restaurant was still slated to reopen as Axe. About two weeks ago construction appeared to be finishing up, and it even looked as though some of Axe's furniture was ready to be arranged. But then Yo! Venice! published a conflicting report from someone at the establishment who claimed Axe was done, not to reopen. Confused, we contacted owner Joanna Moore who confirmed that yes, "I am reopening....." But, that doesn't explain why the property is still apparently up for sale.
