Nobu Malibu Moving, Baco Mercat Opening in Sept, More!

MALIBU— Around October/November of this year Nobu Malibu will relocate into a a slightly larger free-standing building across the street. Expect an updated interior, still beachy but more hip and modern. [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWN— Chef Josef Centeno said that construction for Baco Mercat commenced today and he expects to open in September. [EaterWire]

AROUND TOWN— That mobile beer garden ColLAboration returns three times this month to 8950 Sunset Blvd. Each day (7/9, 7/16, 7/23) craft brews are poured from noon to 9PM, most beers are priced at $5/$6 each. [EaterWire]

WESTWOOD— So much for expansion to Hollywood. Grub Street notes that Soleil owner Luc Alarie decided to annexed a space next door to his Quebecois eatery to open a new bar and restaurant called P'tit Soliel. Slated to open in about two to three months, P'tit Soliel will offer more designer poutine, Quebecois tapas, and a full bar. [Grub Street]
