SANTA MONICA— Owners behind Italian newbie Villetta plan to open a casual pizzeria in the shuttered Stefan's on Montana home. [Grub Street]

BEVERLY HILLS— Change comes to Red Medicine. Partner Noah Ellis drops Eater a note saying that July 1 marks the restaurant's final day of lunch service. Daily dinner service is offered from 6-11PM (closed July 4), the bar is open nightly until 2AM. Noah also says, "If you haven't seen, we changed our menu & wine list format some time ago. K-TOWN— On July 3, K-Town newcomer Beer Belly is holding a Funk 'N Soul Fundraiser for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training. Come by for $5 craft brews, and $15 bbq plates, all proceeds benefit the aforementioned. [EaterWire]
