DOWNTOWN— Brigham Yen is excited to announce that Buzz Wine Shop launched yesterday. The modern wine retailer is open daily until 2AM (!!!!) on the corner of 5th and Spring. In addition to 4,000 bottles of vino there's an entire refrigerated section dedicated to cold craft beer. [Brigham Yen]
THE VALLEY— The Back Door Bakery, originally located in Silver Lake (shuttered in 2008), resurfaced in Sunland earlier this month. LAist catches up with owner Deborah Goodale who explains that she reopened on June 17 serving many of the same baked goods as in the past, though she has kicked corn syrup and now uses only non-gmo whole ingredients. WEHO— The debut of früute, WeHo's mini tart shop opening within the Pavillions Plaza on Santa Monica, has been pushed back to July 2 at 11AM. [EaterWire]
