Buzz Wine Shop and The Back Door Bakery Open, More!

DOWNTOWN— Brigham Yen is excited to announce that Buzz Wine Shop launched yesterday. The modern wine retailer is open daily until 2AM (!!!!) on the corner of 5th and Spring. In addition to 4,000 bottles of vino there's an entire refrigerated section dedicated to cold craft beer. [Brigham Yen]

THE VALLEY— The Back Door Bakery, originally located in Silver Lake (shuttered in 2008), resurfaced in Sunland earlier this month. LAist catches up with owner Deborah Goodale who explains that she reopened on June 17 serving many of the same baked goods as in the past, though she has kicked corn syrup and now uses only non-gmo whole ingredients. VENICE— With regard to the relaunch of Axe, owner Joanna Moore sends the following note: "I don't have an opening date because the owners of the building and their contractor are finalizing city inspections....and then there's the Health Dept. It's difficult to pin a date down but soon." [EaterWire]

WEHO— The debut of früute, WeHo's mini tart shop opening within the Pavillions Plaza on Santa Monica, has been pushed back to July 2 at 11AM. [EaterWire]

HOLLYWOOD— Urban Daddy says that Next Door Lounge, that new bar situation located, well, next door to The Corner on Highland, opens tomorrow night. Barman Joseph Brooke departed The Edison and can be found here stirring classic cocktail until 2AM. Other attractions: live jazz and buffalo burgers. [Urban Daddy]
