Demitasse Coffee and Chocolate Bar Preps For July Debut

New, 1 comment

Adding to the burgeoning cluster of downtown coffee bars comes Demitasse, a project founded by Bobak Roshan in Little Tokyo, set to soft open on July 8. Aside from single-origin brews sourced from NorCal's Equator Coffees, Roshan plans to offer Compartes chocolates, Cake Monkey pastries, Jin Patisserie cakes, and cookies by Esther Kang of Batch from Scratch.

Coffee will be brewed on a halogen siphon bar and using full-immersion brewers, Demitasse's Facebook page offers some fun photos of coffee brewing equipment. Meanwhile, expect iced coffee to be prepared Kyoto-style and served in cold sake bottles to prevent dilution. If you're looking to score a pre-taste of Demitasse, come by The Breezeway at The Barker Block (510 S. Hewitt St.) from 7:30-10:30PM on June 30 where Roshan will serve gratis cups of coffee.
