WEHO— Word on the street is, well, a couple things. 1) Michael Voltaggio is opening a restaurant in INDIA (he's there right now, says Twitter-Mumbai). Of all places. And 2) Ink. has been superrrr delayed because one nearby resident has continued to appeal the restaurant's opening. Right now M.Volt is looking at a mid-August debut. [EaterWire]
MID-CITY— FYI, Vodvil, that new gaming parlor where eats are prepared by Jamie Lauren, opens to the public on July 16. [EaterWire]
VENICE— With regard to the remodel over at Beechwood, owner David Reiss rehired Sean Knibb (A-Frame) to update the venue with a look that pays homage to Venice while harkening Old Havana. Think beachy, casual, and sexy with an urban edge. The restaurant will remain open during the renovation. [EaterWire]
DOWNTOWN— East LA Meets Napa makes its annual return to Union Station on July 8 focusing on the regional cuisine of Michoacán. Participating restaurants include La Casita Mexicana, Mas Malo, Cacao Mexicatessen, Loteria, and Rivera, among others. Tickets cost $150 today, and increase to $200 tom. [EaterWire]
