The LA Street Food Fest makes its faithful return this year on July 16 at its usual home, the Pasadena Rose Bowl. However, there are more than a few changes from last year's festivities. Expect over 80 street food vendors (last year there were over 60) from food trucks to carts to stands, and to accommodate everyone the event space itself is bigger and will include the Rose Bowl's Brookside Park, adding three soccer fields. The fest has also partnered with Test Kitchen to bring in more chefs, and as for attendance, this year guests have the option to partake in any of three limited sessions (10AM-1PM; 2-5PM; or 6-PM). Which brings us to tickets, now $60 a pop or $75 for VIP. Last year general admission cost $45 with VIP priced at $65 for advanced entry. This time around VIPs score access to a private lounge also hosted by Test Kitchen where mixologist Julian Cox will serve Hendricks Gin cocktails. Also expect some bites and a massage station. Only 200 of these tickets will be avail. So, tickets are not yet on sale but should be any day now. Stay tuned. [EaterWire]
