DOWNTOWN— In anticipation of Clifton’s Cafeteria 2.0, management is hiring "experienced busboys, servers, bakers, chefs, line cooks, and managers." Interviews take place tomorrow from 10AM-2PM. As a quick reminder, Andrew Meieran purchased the venue last fall from its original owners and plans to revitalize the space and add "a take-out component on the main floor, five bars (which will include a Tiki bar, a speak-easy lounge, and a bar open seven days a week), and a fine-dining restaurant on the upper floor." The new Clifton's will also serve 24 hours a day. [LA Downtown News]
AROUND TOWN— Even more expansion plans for Lazy Dog Cafe. Next up for the rampant chainlet, owner Chris Simms breaks ground in West Covina, slated to open in November, followed by yet another location launching in Rancho Cucamonga circa February 2012. [EaterWire]
VENICE— Pop by Primitivo tonight, mention "Broke Girl's Guide" and score happy hour prices all night long. [EaterWire]
BEV HILLS— FYI, OpenTable is offering discounted tickets to that Uncorked! at Bouchon tasting event. Instead of $250, tickets are $175 here. [EaterWire]
