The historic Molly's Charbroiled burger stand is no longer. Here are photos from yesterday's final day of service in which both media and devout burger lovers came by to pay their last respects. For a little back history, owner Kwok Yi has run the stand since the mid 1990s, and in 2006 the Community Redevelopment Agency bought the property and has been trying to push Molly's out since. Molly’s hired an attorney last year for a last ditch effort to try and stay... but finally settled for $1.1M (of which they net about $600K after fees, etc.). Molly's will be demolished to become a new office tower. Bye bye.
