Aww. Unfortunately, Antica Pizzeria, not to be confused with Pizza Antica in Santa Monica Place, is going somewhere. The Italian restaurant, well respected for its thin crust Neapolitan pizzas (these babies are even certified by the Verace Pizza Napoletana Association as authentic Neapolitan pies), will shutter on July 17 to make room for LA Fitness' expansion, says an employee. Antica Pizzeria will relocate elsewhere in The Marina, possibly across the street as part of Villa Marina Marketplace's $25 million dollar overhaul. Maybe a blessing in disguise? The mall location seems a bit out of sorts.
