After a successful first run last year, Suzanne Goin (Lucques, AOC, Tavern), husband David Lentz (The Hungry Cat), and biz partner Caroline Styne announce the return of their well-cheffed tasting benefit, LA Loves Alex's Lemonade. Eating goes down at Culver Studios on November 6 from noon to 4PM, but the real question is... who's cooking? From last year there's Michael Tusk (Quince- SF), Chris Bianco (Pizzeria Bianco- AZ), Susan Spicer (Bayona- New Orleans), Marc Vetri (Vetri- PA), Jonathan Waxman (Barbuto- NYC), and newly joining the Lemonade group comes John Besh (John Best Restaurant Group- New Orleans), Michelle Bernstein (Michy's- FL), Michael Cimarusti (Providence), April Bloomfield (The Spotted Pig- NYC), Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo (Animal), and Gabrielle Hamilton (Prune- NYC). WOW.
To match up with this all-star chef crew, it would only be fitting to invite in top mixologists, and the following gentleman have agreed to shake it up: Eric Alperin (The Varnish), Neal Boderheimer (Cure- New Orleans), Matthew Jeronimo (The Hungry Cat), Greg Lindgren (Rye on the Road- SF) and Steve Wildy (Vetri Family).
This year, depending on how deep your pockets are, a few ticketing options exist. General admission costs $175, VIP with early entry and special seating runs $400, or for $1200 one can land early admission, special seating, and a Meet-And-Greet dinner on November 5 prepared by Nancy Silverton and Chris Bianco. The above mentioned chefs will be in attendance as well. Keep in mind, money from ticket sales benefits a good cause. Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation is an organization dedicated to finding a cure for cancer.
