MID-CITY— Tomorrow night chef/owner Mark Gold will reopen Eva restaurant following its two week shutter. What's different? Notice fresh paint on walls, additional bar seating, modified wall decor, and a new summer cocktail menu. [EaterWire]
WEHO— Grub Street discovers a Craigslist ad for, what we presume to be, Curtis Nysmith's SmithHouse, which PROUDLY (!!!) boasts that its menu will be devised by Top Cheffer Angelo Sosa. Most recently Sosa worked on the menu for The Malibu Inn, fyi. SmithHouse is also clearly excited about its "innovative beverage program developed by many of the world's top Mixologists!!" Many, huh. [Grub Street]
BEVERLY HILLS— The Crescent Hotel is punching up (literally) its happy hour from 4-7PM in CBH Lounge with a freebie market-fresh punch bowl offered on a first come first serve basis, Mon-Fri. [EaterWire]
BREA— Bruxie, Old Towne Orange's fast casual wafflery which debuted just eight months ago, will open its second location on the Birch Street Promenade in Downtown Brea (the space formerly occupied by Fatburger). Owners hope to launch by November 8, the date Bruxie in Orange opened last year. In other news, an LA location could be on the horizon. [EaterWire]
