Will SBE Open Katsuya in San Diego's Andaz Hotel?

Word on the street is that another sbe child is expanding to the Southland. Though reps for sbe and San Diego's Andaz Hotel are keeping tight lipped, Ben Lieberman -- who previously worked at Katsuya Brentwood and now serves as chef de cuisine at Brian Malarkey’s newly christened BURLAP -- claims that Katsuya will open within the Andaz. Lieberman is also apparently in touch with at least one member of sbe's opening team, Jennie Trinh. So perhaps after Trinh helps Danny Elmaleh (Cleo) open Mercato di Vetro, that tapas-styled Italian joint "inspired by the rustic kitchens of Italy," we will see Katsuya head south.
