Charlie Puffer at Fatty's Pops Up Bringing Plant-Based Cusine

New, 1 comment

After a seven month "creative hiatus," Fatty's reopened its vegetarian/vegan doors last Friday as its new self, a pop-up. According to Eagle Rock Patch, previous proprietors Kim Dingle and Aude Charles still own this venue after a slight remodel, but they are no longer involved in the day-to-day. The restaurant's new name is Charlie Puffer at Fatty's and Charlie Puffer, self-proclaimed "pop up restaurateur" and wine purveyor at Topline Wine & Spirits in Glendale, is running the show alongside chef Jonathan Harootunian (Courtright's- Chicago).

Over the weekend the restaurant offered a five course vegetarian prix fixe (pics) for $40 with $20 supplemental for wine pairings. Going forward in the future menu pricing will probably fall in the $6-$10 range for starters and salads, with entrees costing between $12-$20. It's unclear how long this temporary dining engagement will last, but pop by while you can.
