SHERMAN OAKS— One of LA's original burger restaurants Pineapple Hill Saloon & Grill has new management after 30 years of biz. Christopher Liebe is now running the show. [EaterWire]

LITTLE TOKYO— Midtown Lunch declares that "Fat Spoon is a Solid Option Out of the Gate." Although the unlikely combo of pasta and curry "sounds like a disaster waiting to happen," the restaurant "seems ready to dominate on week one." CULVER CITY— Sang Yoon's Lukshon kicks off lunch service tomorrow. Yoon has aded new menu items inclusive of Shanghai Matzo Ball Soup (chicken, schmaltz, orbital carrots and sesame); Thai Beef Salad (gem lettuce, radish, carrot, tomato, herbs and spicy lime vinaigrette); and Pork Belly Lettuce Cups (cabbage, crispy pig ear, thai chile and lime mint). ATWATER VILLAGE— Daily Dish says that newbie Atwater Crossing Kitchen will open for dinner service next month and serve small plates plus wine and beer. Starting September 20 the eatery will expand its hours and offer al fresco courtyard dining. [Daily Dish]
