1) Fairfax District: On a forgotten stretch of Fairfax comes Currywurst, just one of the many new German beer and curry sausage places to open in the last couple of years. Peeking inside, note the almost finished interior and "help wanted" signage. Neighbors say the place could be open by early next month. [EaterWire]
2) West Hollywood: From the guys behind The Hudson comes The Churchill. Taking over the Minestraio space inside The Orlando Hotel, it's been billed as a New American-y sort of place. Construction has been going strong for a few weeks now, with new windows installed on the corner of the building and faux brick applied to the exterior. Peeking inside, it looks like a bar, a fireplace and several dining areas will service diners nicely. Permitting delays and all considered, the restaurant is looking at a September opening. 3) West Hollywood: Ink.'s interior is complete. Here's a snap of the exterior. [EaterWire]
4) Pico/Robertson: Kosher, Parve, Vegan ice cream comes to the Beverlywood area courtesy of Milky's. Opening is slated for early September. [EaterWire]
5) Silver Lake: As previously reported, Cafe Stella is expanding into corner shop, Driftwood. There was a city counsel hearing a couple of weeks ago, and neighboring businesses say Cafe Stella's new bar should open this fall, but Driftwood's owner insists that construction shouldn't begin until next year.
