The team behind Waterloo & City, Chef Brendan Collins and Director of Operations Carolos Tomazos and the guys behind the Hotel Erwin are putting their talents toward a new project that combines art and food. Named Larry's, after artist Larry Bell, the place will feature beach-y cuisine and, per the press release, "a spot of [the chef's] British humor." There will be charcuterie platters, pizzas and a host of small plates items under $15. Think: BBQ Eel and Foie Gras Terrine with Muscat Gelee; Local Halibut and Scallop Ceviche; Green Gazpacho topped with Char-Grilled Squid Salad, Smoked Almonds, and Green Grapes; and Zucchini Blossom and Shrimp Morachas with Black Vinegar. Meanwhile, Tomazos will introduce a global beer and wine list to complement the diverse menu. There's no liquor license, so expect a roster of soju-based cocktails. The restaurant is set to start serving lunch and dinner in a few short weeks. [EaterWire]
