Roccos's owners Leo Amari, Alexander Manos, Roger Toussaint, and John Liska continue to grow their brood of neighborhood Italian-American joints. Open today, Rocco's Tavern on Main Street in Culver City is the third in the Rocco's family (this team is also behind downtown's 901 Bar & Grill).
The space has been completely redone. There's a long bar, large patio and a glass paned garage door that allows for the whole restaurant to open up to the outside. Leather booths, industrial lighting and lots of wood add to the Little-Italy charm.
Rocco’s Tavern Executive Chef Tony Lia oversees the menu. This Rocco's menu features the same familiar rooster of thin-crust pizzas, burgers and Italian-American standards like a five-layer Lasagna, Linguini with 'back east' Little Neck Clams, Sizzling Sausage, Peppers and Onions, and garlic and herb rubbed Salmon. The bar serves a sizable menu of beer and wines. Now open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. [EaterWire]
